June is Pride month and Saturday there will be a march and a flag raising hosted by Bridge Cities Alliance. The march will begin at 11:30am at the corner of 6th and Mesa in downtown San Pedro. All Are Welcome.
This Sunday we'll continue our sermon series on the Lord's Prayer with the section "Your Kin-dom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." To help us further reflect on what it means for God's will to be reflected on earth as it is in heaven we will study the words of Micah 6:1-8 which includes the often repeated words of the prophet:
"What does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?"
When we reflect on God's desire for this world and what it would mean for God's will to be done here on earth we understand that as God's hands and feet in this wolrd we too play a part in bringing more heaven here to earth.
