United?
Tonight the streets will be filled with kids in costumes searching for candy, and tomorrow we'll all be looking to offload any candy still hanging around. Tomorrow is also All Saint's Day, the day we remember everyone who moved from this life to more life in the past year. At the Garden Church we have a few to remember, in particular Annette Ciketc who went to be with the Lord on March 1, 2024. November is also the month when our local Interfaith group, the San Pedro Faith Consortium gathers for an annual Interfaith Service. This year our theme is "Unity." Heading into another election which shows clearly the division in our nation, it is meaningful to gather as people of different faiths and share together in a service where we share our traditions in a respectful, peaceful and inclusive manner. This year's service will take place on Thursday, November 21st at 7pm at St. Peter's Episcopal Church (details below). All Are welcome for this meaningful time together.
We are wrapping up our sermon series on "Truth, Power and Politics" with the story of Hannah mother of the prophet Samuel. All are welcome in the Garden for our Sunday Rhythm.
In Faith,
Rev. Amanda
