Day of the Dead

This Sunday our San Pedro community has two significant events taking place. Temple Beth El will an InterFaith Service of Rememberence host in honor of the lives lost to religious intolerance and to stand against antisemitism and all forms of hate. Sunday is the one year anniversary of the Tree of Life murders in Pittsburg, PA

Also on Sunday, The Garden Church will open its gates as part of the Annual Día de Los Muertos Festival during which some 10.000 people fill the streets of downtown San Pedro. We will offer opportunities to express grief by writing names on the brick wall in chalk, planting succulents in honor of the deceased, praying for the dead, art for all ages and the simple sanctuary that is our garden. If you are able to volunteer with us for this event, please let me know.

Peace and Blessings,

Rev. Amanda

What We mean when We say All Are Welcome:

At The Garden Church we intentionally welcome all. We do this without requiring adherence to any religious belief or creed. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with the Divine and each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

We are also a member Congregation of the Pacific Coast Association of the Swedenborgian Church of North America
