Each Sunday the first item we lift out of the tabernacle and place in our worship space calming it once again as sacred space for worship of our Lord is the Bible. We unpack the bible and we say "This is the Word of God--The stories of God and of the people of God. In the Word we find life, and light, we find our stories intertwined with God’s story and we look and listen for the Lord’s Word in the world."
Of the Bible the Psalmist says: "Oh, how I love your law! It is my meditation all day long." (Psalm 119:97) and "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" (Psalm 119:103) God's word is sweet, and God's word is loved by God's children throughout history to today.
Like many churches we place the Word of God, The Bible, our Holy Scripture centrally in our worship space and we do so to show that it is central to our worship and our lives as disciples of Christ. We are in our second Sunday in a sermon series on the movements of worship last week we focused on gathering, and this Sunday we will focus on God's word read and proclaimed.
Sunday worship is at 3pm in the Garden, come as you are, stay as you are able. All Are Welcome.
In Faith,
Rev. Amanda
