At the beginning of September we had planned to welcome Ben Gunter into the garden as our guest preacher, but illness got in the way. This week we will try again! continuing our sermon series "Truth, Power and Politics." About his message for Sunday Ben says: "In the age of modern media and heated discourse, many people have strong and contradictory views on the truth. How are we to identify truth and believe with confidence? This Sunday we will discuss the significance of this challenge and how God empowers us with the tools to hold the truth within ourselves."

The annual PCA Meeting: This is a meeting of the Pacific Coast Association which is comprised of 8 congregations and ministries stretching from Silver City, NM west to us and up the West Coast to Seattle. Each year this group of churches, ministries and pastors gather to do business and learn something. This year we are co-hosting with Wayfarers Chapel. Friday and Saturday we'll be in San Pedro between the Garden and meeting space at the Annex across the street and Sunday we'll worship with the Wayfarers Chapel Worshiping Community.
