"Restoration, New Growth, New Life!"

This past Tuesday was Earth Day. As part of marking the day we put some chalk out on the side walk and wrote a simple message "Happy Earth Day!" We invited anyone who wanted to add to it. Here's a short video of some of the first additions of the community chalk art project. (click here to see the video.) As you likely know, everyday is Earth Day for us in the garden, but each year we celebrate a little extra during Earth Month when there's a little more attention paid to creation care.

This Sunday we'll host the Annual Interfaith Earth Day Service with our friends in the interfaith community in our area. We will have four religious traditions represented and are excited to include voices from different generations. Our theme this year is "Restoration, New Growth and New Life." Inspired by the thought of what comes next? after January's fires in our city the Garden Church Board was moved by the idea of the religious community's reflections on the theme of restoration.

We hope you will be able to join us on Sunday at 4pm, if you are not able to join us, please pray with us as we reflect on and pray for restoration, new growth and new life.

In Faith,

Rev. Amanda

What We mean when We say All Are Welcome:

At The Garden Church we intentionally welcome all. We do this without requiring adherence to any religious belief or creed. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with the Divine and each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

We are also a member Congregation of the Pacific Coast Association of the Swedenborgian Church of North America
