Each Sunday we ask "Where have you seen God?" People then name aloud the places they've seen God's presence that day or recently--in a smiling face, an old friend, a child's joy, the warm and filling food, in the birds or the trees or the flowers.
Sometimes we get distracted, or too hyper-focused and we miss things. It's not always easy to pay attention all the time. When we take time to observe we are more likely to see God. This Sunday in Advent is one where our Bible story is about recognizing God.
This Sunday is the 4th Sunday in the season of Advent. It is the Sunday when we read the story of Mary going to visit her cousin Elizabeth. When Mary calls out to her cousin something happens--the child in Elizabeth's womb leaps for joy! Elizabeth recognizes that God is present. It's these moments of recognition that mark this season and our lives. Join us as we spend time together recognizing God's presence.
