Every once in a while I see signs remaining from the time in the pandemic of social distancing. A sign left hanging in a shop door that says something about being respectful and giving space or the worn out tape marks on the floor of a store when we all waited in line 6 ft. apart. When all that 1st began a lot of us in the Christian tradition had a very visceral response to the new way of living. Our gut level negative reaction is from the story of the Good Samaritan. It's the story of a man who was not expected to help going to the aid of a badly wounded person. Once there he cares for the person not just once but for days after. Going well and beyond what might have even been expected.
From the inception of our faith we are taught to go to those in need, to reach out and to care for them. This Sunday we'll spend time with the story of the Good Sameratian found in the gospel of Luke. We hope you will join us.
In Faith,
Rev. Amanda
