Are We Good Refrigerator Managers?

Writer: The Garden ChurchThe Garden Church

Let’s keep our refrigerators organized. Take a look right now. Is there too much food in there? Place like items together. Place food that will keep longer in the back. Place food that needs to be eaten sooner up closer to the front. Label leftovers that are in nondescript containers so they don’t get lost. If fresh produce has a blemish, just cut it off to put in compost, and save the rest to eat today. Don’t be afraid of mixing leftovers to make something new: soup or scrambled with eggs, for example. If we really can’t eat it today but it will spoil soon, throw it in the freezer for a future meal. The tip is “refrigerator awareness”, catch it before something goes bad. Don’t shop again until you’ve eaten what needs to be appreciated.

What We mean when We say All Are Welcome:

At The Garden Church we intentionally welcome all. We do this without requiring adherence to any religious belief or creed. We foster a climate of purposeful inclusion, an environment where all can feel safe, valued, cared for, and given an opportunity to form meaningful connections with the Divine and each other. We cherish the diversity of humanity, a diversity which includes differences in sex, age, race, ethnicity, and national origin, range of abilities, sexual orientation, gender identity, financial means, education, and political perspective.

We are also a member Congregation of the Pacific Coast Association of the Swedenborgian Church of North America
