It's the height of summer and everything in the garden is growing like crazy. The squash are getting big, the tomatoes are turning red and the beans are growing a foot a week! It's amazing to see how quickly things are changing and how full the baskets headed to the Friday farmer's Market.
This Sunday's story is also one of abundance. Well, first lack and then abundance. It's the story of a widow who had nothing left and appealed to the prophet Elisha for help. The result was an abundance of oil. Oil she could sell to pay off her debts, and enough on top of that to provide for her and her children. Enough, enough and some to share.
Each and every Sunday we gather in the Garden for our Sunday Rhythm:
3pm Work Together
4pm Worship Together
5pm Eat Together
All Are Welcome
Come as you are, stay as you are able.
In Faith,
Rev. Amanda
